The quest to go faster than ever before in the Nation’s Capital began yesterday. The Queens Park track sets made famous by Adam Franklin in 2011 have reignited again this year. In driving rain yesterday we toiled like the valiant ‘Van Der Hum,’ the legendary Kiwi, mudlark, brawler who out shot the  favourite ‘Gold and Black’ in the 1976 Melbourne Cup (the wettest Cup on record).
