The now traditional April tour to the Nation’s Capital took place again last Sunday. Five tough boys from the Bondi coup took on the rugged and grueling course. Canberra is the first of the major city marathons’ every season and provided us with a great opportunity to get good road race under the belt heading into the more serious events deeper into the winter. Results were:

Special mention must be made of our ‘Ultra Marathon Man’ Dashing Daniel Begley who achieved his goal of getting home in under 5 hours. What a guru. He also drove all the way down and home, so we could get on the cans. Great bloke.
There is a really good race on Saturday 4 May – The Sydney 10. It’s a very flat and fast race around the Olympic Park at Homebush. While it’s nothing special really, it has cred because it is used a qualifier for the City2Surf. So if you ant to get in a fast start group for City2Surf get involved in this. Entry is only $30.
